Mineral King is connected to the rest of Sequoia National Park only by trail. Designated Accessible sites are usually reserved for people with disabilities who have a vehicle displaying an accessible parking placard or license plate. Big Creek Meadows Campground is not operated by Hipcamp and can only be booked externally. Nice jump... A 45-minute winding drive leads to the Giant Forest sequoia grove (vehicles over 22 feet are not advised between Potwisha Campground and Giant Forest).

The Lodgepole/Giant Forest Area is centrally located in Sequoia National Park at an elevation of 6,700 feet (2050 m). All campgrounds except Canyon View permit RVs and trailers. Do not cut living or standing trees, and leave any remaining firewood after your trip. Trails for mountain biking begin near the campground. Be aware that firewood can harbor insects and diseases; transporting it can move these pests to new locations.
